The ocean

The resort's naturist beach on the west side, accessible on foot or by bike from the chalet. Beyond: the great Montalivet beach, surfing, and the Landes dunes.

The Médoc vineyards

Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, Margaux: the grand crus 30 to 45 minutes away. Wineries open for visits and tastings.

Vendays-Montalivet

The village 5 minutes away: market, bakery, pharmacy, convenience store, local restaurants.

Soulac-sur-Mer

A family seaside resort 25 minutes away: seafront, Belle Époque villas, covered market every morning in season.

By bike

The Landes cycle network runs through the CHM. Shaded paths towards Hourtin, Lacanau, or north towards Le Verdon-sur-Mer.

The Gironde estuary

Cordouan lighthouse by boat from Le Verdon. Ferry to Royan to cross the estuary in 30 minutes.

Practical information before you come.

Getting here

  • By car — Via Bordeaux, A630 towards Lesparre-Médoc (about 1h30 from Bordeaux), or Royan ferry (timetables).
  • By train — TGV to Bordeaux Saint-Jean, then 1h30 by car (hire available at the station), or train to Lesparre-Médoc then bus.
  • By plane — Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, about 1h45 away.

At the CHM

  • Resort access badge provided by the CHM on arrival (fee payable on site).
  • Supervised naturist beach in season, open year round.
  • Shops, restaurants, bakery, convenience store within the resort.
  • Parking close to the chalet.

At the chalet

  • Check-in from 4 pm on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Check-out before 11 am.
  • Access codes and instructions sent by L'Effet Clochette on confirmation.
  • Bed linen and cleaning on request.
